Heavy snow made for a travel headache along Interstate 94 from Alexandria, MN to Sauk Centre, MN. The band of heavy wet snow created slippery driving conditions and numerous drivers ended losing control and crashing.

The winter storm started after midnight in the Fargo, ND / Moorhead, MN area with some areas getting several inches of snow as the storm is forecast to continue through the day.
