Snow Plow Accident Aftermath – 12/16/2003

MNDot Plow crash aftermath

Tuesday, December 16th, 2003 12/16/2003 Storm Chasing A Snow Storm In Minneapolis. I was out early this morning Snow Storm Chasing for The Weather Channel when I heard about a snow plow crash in Minneapolis. Turns out a snow plow driver raised the back of the truck up to adjust the salt. But in doing so, they struck a bridge. The truck kept going but the back of the truck bed stopped and was ripped off.

5/4/2003 Kansas Turnpike Tornado

Just got some insane footage west of Kansas City of a tornado that got very up close and personal to me.

Now I have to drive back to Minnesota to shoot video for TWC tomorrow. This is going to suck for sleep.

1/4/2003 Burnsville, MN Freezing Rain

Today was crazy. I was out filming for TWC earlier this morning for a schedule shoot and then came home to sleep when the weather started to change over to freezing rain. I did not have to drive far to get this footage but wow, this video was priceless.

Killing the past…

Today is 1/1/11 or 1-1-11 and my new website setup for my personal work and blog just went on line at 11:00 p.m. central time tonight.

The website is coming back to life now.

Back on September 7th, I shut down my personal Facebook page and deleted everyone. I blew a lot of people off because I needed to focus on work and getting goals accomplished and not worrying about every damn update by everyone on the social networks along with the chaser forums.

There was just too much drama and wasted time and energy that was creating unneeded stress and I was not getting anything done in my personal life and for my company.  I was pretty much in one of life’s doldrums and needed break free of the social networking b.s. and get back to work. I kept the fan page on Facebook but that was it and it got updated when I had something to post but that was it.

Well I’m happy to say that in the four months that have past, I have got a lot of work done.  I focused on getting the BNVN Youtube account setup and the BNVN Account on Youtube has well over 1,500 videos on line and I have many more stock videos to add to those in the coming months of my own work and the crew of stringer or “Weather Paparazzi’s that I work with.  Yes I said fifteen hundred stock video’s on line with unique footage catalogs.

The photo gallery on this site was also in need of a major overhaul and I had to review my life’s work.  God that just sounds so crazy “review my life’s work” but it is true I reviewed all the photography work to see what was worth posting.  After about a month of 12 hour days of review and editing photos, I have now posted over 2,000 of the best of my work up on the new Smugmug photo hosting account.  http://weatherpaparazzi.smugmug.com

I picked the Smugmug setup because I saw it had a decent configuration for the price.  Now I can show off my work along with being able to sell my photography to fans and clients.

I will also be doing some new video sales setup on my personal website for my personal work and I will have my personal stock video of my best work on line in the coming weeks.

So while the bulk of the work that I have been doing behind the scenes is now out there for the world to see, I still have a lot more work to do on this site and on my BNVN.com.  Look for a lot more updates and blog posts on here now that I have everything up and running.

Oh and one more thing, I could not have done any of this if it were not for the love and support of my girlfriend Neva.  She has been back behind the scenes kicking my butt and making me get work done.

Also a big thank you goes out to all the BNVN crew that has been keeping the faith.  In 2011, it’s going to be a good year all around for all of us.

Last but not least, thank you to the fans of my photos and video artwork.
